For years, Mirage was one of our go-to favorites. Then suddenly, it was closed. We were so sad that we could no longer have Steak Diablo, Coconut Curry Chicken, Steak Frites or Jamaican Jerk Chicken. Then like a “mirage” it suddenly re-reopened in a new Port Chester location. It’s not as funky, but very attractive with blue walls and chairs that match. It’s still casual, but more up-scale. Best of all, the menu is almost the the same. Chef David Haggerty, who operated Café Mirage at 531 North Main Street for 15 years is back in the kitchen. The friendly staff is back too. We dined there last night and had a great time. There is a parking lot just behind the restaurant.
