Riverside Elementary School at 90 Hendrie Avenue in Riverside looks like a small ivy league college. The Riverside Yacht Club
A private club located at 102 Club Road has spectacular views of the water. It has dining, swimming, beach, tennis and boating. Membership requires a proposer and several sponsors. Once a resident, you are bound to meet members and being a resident of Riverside is helpful.
Nearby Town Beach (Greenwich Point/ Tod’s Point)
Entrance at the south end of Shore Road in Old Greenwich. This 147-acre beach, with two concession stands, has jogging, hiking and biking trails, lots of picnic facilities and windsurfing. Dogs on a leash are normally allowed in the winter.

A place of tradition. Since 1950 kids love stopping here for candy. It is still owned by the Cantavero family. Chef Mike Pietrafeso, Serendipity’s “Most Innovative Chef”, has transformed it into a first rate sandwich, salad and coffee shop. Of course, they still have Ada’s candy. Balducci’s carries imported and American cheeses and a nice selection of flavorful soups. Their wine store carries a large selection of American and international wines. They have a delivery service “instacart”. Order groceries and get them in as little as one hour or when you want them.

Chipotle has over 1,200 locations. All are company owned. They take pride in serving organic ingredients. Their menu is burritos, burrito bowls, tacos, and salads, with many choices in each category. The surroundings are sleek and modern, much like an upscale cafeteria. Definitely kid friendly. We like it.

The former manager of Re Napoli in Old Greenwich, Jon Marleku, opened his own pizza place serving his specialties of thin crust pizzas and homemade pastas. They have everything from size small 13” pies up to 23” XL pies. Our favorite is the Pizza E Fichi. We predict this will be the winner of our next pizza contest.

Friendly, casual, family dining since 2003. A popular spot with youngsters. If there were a contest for the largest portions, this small, charmingly-decorated restaurant might win. On their large menu, pizzas are popular, but they also have sandwiches, burgers, paninis, pastas and wraps. We like their Greenwich Salad and Chicken Francese. They sell sauces by the pint.
